Just you know have some interesting opportunities you know learn some things you
know just grow up and be you know and imagine just be normal dont try to squeeze
in through hole that theyre not going to fit through Like Ill like wrack myself but
Ive got to teach my kid do bring him in occasionally but um..
Tm starting to think about the things have to do um its actually not so bad because Im
down to Ive got no bugs reassigned my last bug to Paul ha ha hes over in building
15 and he doesnt know it so you know Im not in bad position in terms of bugs
personally what Im responsible for is down to 12 and so Ive got like load of bugs
there and so were trying to track that and were also trying to help other people and the
thing you try to do at this time is not just worry about your own problems you want to
focus on those but you want to make sure that youre available to help some of the other
folks out and everything else like that
Do you mind if close this mean Im liable to sweat myself to death
So mean thats why work closely with Tara and Michael and lot of those you know
its what team work is all about its what Netscape is all about urn its what makes the
place uh interesting the challenges and sometimes taking on like little bit more than
than is smart to do it makes it more interesting guess was talking to John Gabel you
probably spent some time talking to John and yeah hes big philosophy czar on our
floor and uh he thinks we all have like the this really sick twisted addiction you know
to dig holes for ourselves with this type of you know uh uh num its not the number of
problems its the you know its just like being the you know climbing the trying to climb
Everest thing you know doing lot of this other stuff its just kind of nutty its special
kind of personality to do the to be in the shrink wrap software business you know to do

this month after month and year after year And at Netscape you know and internet year
is what how many weeks dont know but the good thing about this place is that there
are lot of people here that are very capable of doing that And think in way more so
than some of the other places Ive been uh uh they can handle higher rate of lunacy
here than almost any other place rye bee And you know spent iam before was in the
software business spent 10 years in th1ewspaper business and deadlines were very
different there mean it was like whole new world every day it was tableau Roseau you
know just woke up with new set of problems and learned how to deal with that sort
of pressure every day and it drove me reasonably crazy after while but here the
problems are strung out over much larger span of time and you have to be very very
careful about the
steps you make toward the end excuse me and the decisions you make
When hen you work down here in The Valley you know youre working for
Silicon Va ey Incorporated in way so uh and you tend to work with lot of people
over and over again because theres only certain number of people who are stupid
enough to do this for living so we just move around from company to company and we
sucker young people out colleg we do that every once in while so we you know
improve the population n4s very weird its not like other industries like when
was in the newspaper business mean thats very geographically spread out because of
you know anti competitive thing you know you cant sell in the same area so things were
all over the world but um great deal of software development is done in just this small
area here Yeah yeah yeah conversation group entering the meeting
